Terms of service
1. Scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all orders placed through the MatchaTime online shop. By placing an order, you accept these terms.

3. Offer and conclusion of contract
The presentation of products in the shop does not constitute a legally binding offer. The purchase contract is concluded once we confirm your order via email.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are stated in CHF, including VAT, plus shipping costs.
Payment methods:
Credit card, ApplePay, TWINT.
Payment is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract.
5. Delivery and shipping
Delivery is made within Switzerland.
Shipping costs are displayed during the ordering process.
Delivery time: 2–3 business days after receipt of payment.
Risk transfers to the buyer upon dispatch.
6. Right of withdrawal and returns
There is no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases in Switzerland. However, we offer a voluntary 30-day return policy for unopened and originally packaged products.
Exceptions:
- Opened or damaged food items (Matcha)
- Discounted items and gift cards
Returns without prior arrangement will not be accepted. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
7. Defects and complaints
Please inspect the goods upon receipt. Defects must be reported within 5 days. For justified complaints, we offer a replacement or refund.
8. Liability
We are liable only for damages caused by gross negligence or intent. We accept no liability for indirect damages or improper use.
9. Errors and price mistakes
We strive to present all product information accurately. Obvious errors in prices or product descriptions entitle us to cancel or adjust orders retrospectively.
The assessment of whether an obvious error exists is at the discretion of MatchaTime. Any payments already made will be fully refunded in such cases. Further claims are excluded.
10. Subscriptions
We offer certain products under a subscription model, where you receive regular deliveries (e.g., monthly).
Duration and termination:
- Subscriptions can be canceled at any time.
- Cancellation can be made via your customer account in the shop or in writing by email to hello@matchatime.ch.
- If you cancel after the shipping date of the current delivery, the cancellation will only take effect for the next billing cycle.
Billing and payment:
- Payment is processed automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle using your selected payment method.
- In case of failed payments, we reserve the right to temporarily pause or terminate the subscription.
Subscription changes:
- We will notify you in advance of any price changes or adjustments to the delivery interval.
- You may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect if you do not agree with the adjustments.
11. Data protection
Your data will be treated confidentially in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection laws. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Jonschwil SG (Switzerland), unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise.
13. Language provisions
In case of any discrepancies in the interpretation of a policy, the German version shall take precedence.
